Adding sand to the bottom of an aquarium provides more surface area for beneficial bacteria to grow to keep your ecosystem healthy! This is the perfect amount of sand for 1 EcoQube C. 

Instructions: Place a 1-inch layer of Origin aquarium safe sand in your ecosystem. This enables the perfect amount of water and oxygen to flow through the sand bed for beneficial bacteria cultivation. A sand bed layer too thick will prevent oxygen and water flow from reaching the bottom of the sand bed.
